Before an applicant can use psychiatrai as a practitioner, our team reviews their profile, qualifications, and supporting documents. Review does not stop once a profile goes live — client feedback and ongoing quality checks continue after approval. This page explains what that process covers and what it does not.
Practitioners create an account and submit an application, including their professional category, session fee, and a description of their background and approach.
Applicants upload documents supporting their stated qualifications and any specializations they want to display. These materials are the basis of our review.
Applicants identify themselves as a therapist, counsellor, or coach during onboarding. Our review considers whether their submitted background — qualifications, experience, and supporting documents — aligns with the category they've chosen.
Our team checks the submitted profile and documents for completeness, consistency, and whether the supporting material aligns with the professional category selected. Each application is then approved or rejected; rejected applicants receive comments explaining the decision.
Once approved, a practitioner's public profile is published on psychiatrai, showing their stated role, qualifications, specializations, languages, and other relevant information exactly as submitted and reviewed.
Approval isn't the end of the process. We collect client feedback and use it, alongside ongoing service-improvement processes, to help maintain quality across the practitioners listed on psychiatrai.
Approval is an internal review of the information and documents an applicant submits. It is not a guarantee of competence, and we do not independently confirm current licensing or registration with external regulatory bodies.
