At psychiatrai, we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you use our app and web-based mental health services platform in Pakistan.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:

• Personal Information: Name, email address, phone number, and other details you provide during account registration or service use.
• Health Information: Information shared with Providers during consultations, such as medical history or mental health concerns.
• Usage Data: Information about how you interact with our platform, including IP address, browser type, and pages visited.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and improve our mental health services.
• Facilitate communication with Providers.
• Process payments and manage accounts.
• Comply with legal obligations under Pakistani law.

4. Sharing Your Information

We may share your information with:

• Practitioners you choose, or who are assigned through an organization, when needed to deliver services.
• Third-party service providers for payment processing or analytics, who are bound by confidentiality agreements.
• Authorities, if required by law or to protect the safety of users.

5. Data Security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Assessment responses and self-help session history may also be saved in encrypted storage in this browser. These device-local records are separate from your platform account and remain on this device after sign-out or account deletion. Use the existing Delete control in Assessment History or Self-Help History to remove individual entries. Entries that have not synced are stored only on this device.

6. Your Rights

You may contact us to request:

• Access, correct, or delete eligible personal information.
• Opt out of non-essential communications.
• Request information about how your data is used.

If you have an account, use its authenticated Settings page to review the account-specific deletion options and eligibility. A request submitted through a public account or data deletion form is a support request for identity verification and review; it does not itself deactivate an account or erase information.

Eligible practitioner accounts can start deletion directly from Settings after the displayed eligibility checks are clear. Patient accounts require approval from their organization or a platform administrator. Organization accounts require platform administrator approval; corporate-client accounts require approval from their parent organization or a platform administrator; and employee accounts require approval from their corporate client or a platform administrator. A pending approval request leaves the account usable and can be withdrawn. Deletion cannot proceed until applicable care, appointment, payment, or linked-account obligations have been resolved. For practitioner accounts, deactivation also removes the public listing and stops new bookings.

When deletion is eligible and completed, personal information such as profile details, photos, qualification and vetting files, and bank-account details may be erased where applicable to the account type.

We may retain records needed to preserve care and appointment history, financial transactions, agreements and consent, and safety, security, and audit history. Some care-related conversations may remain available in read-only form to the remaining authorized patient, employee, or practitioner participants. Where applicable, an account identity reference is replaced with a generic tombstone, but conversation text may still identify people; it is not erased or guaranteed anonymous. Organization or corporate-client approval does not grant access to these conversations. Access to retained records is restricted. We have not set fixed retention periods for these retained records. Account deletion does not automatically expire them.

Deletion may not immediately remove information from backup copies. Backup copies may retain it until the applicable backup expires or is overwritten; we do not state a fixed period here. Public directory information may also remain temporarily in search-engine caches outside our control.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or platform updates. Continued use of psychiatrai after changes signifies acceptance.
